The Myth Of The “Unelectable”
Having trouble swallowing the regurgitated drivel that’s accompanied the GOP debates and “elections”?
Do you have that uncomfortable full feeling? It’s not that you’ve had enough, it’s that you haven’t really had anything of substance. If you’re like the rest of the general public, you’ve probably lost your appetite.
Yet, the MSM media keeps trying to force-feed us the same tasteless rhetoric, ad nauseum, and one flavor is starting to dominate the menu.
They keep trying to shove these “Ron Paul Can’t Win” meal down our throats because it’s the only argument the MSM media can still force upon on us. It’s entirely made of the opinion of a few dozen men and probably half a dozen women. None of it is based on any concrete facts or evidence or even the actual poll numbers.
I was reading an article on the national polling of all 4 GOP candidates on http://www.thestatecolumn.com, at the bottom was a simple pole and it asked an easy question: “Who will win the Republican nomination?” I clicked on Ron Paul, naturally…
And then I saw the results. I was a little shocked and a bit comforted.
Ron Paul was demolishing the competition with 70.61% of the vote. The next closest was Mitt Romney, with just 17.14% of the vote.
But then I thought that this could easily be influenced by a low vote count or even the title of the article, “Ron Paul Surges 7 points in California” and who it attracted. Naturally an article like this, even if it’s on a well read website, will probably attract more Ron Paul supporters than others. So I glanced down to see exactly how many people have voted in this simple internet poll.
57,313
This is where things got serious. It’s not that Ron Paul’s name probably brought in that many of his supporters, or that Ron Paul supporters are actually more active in social and digital media.
It’s the fact that there are a lot of them.
A LOT.
For CNN, Fox, MSNBC and other members of the Main Stream Media to keep passing the same worn out, mangled and distorted message of Ron Paul being “unelectable” has become more than a joke, it’s become offensive. They are practically laughing while they slide the lies between their greasy lips. The polls show us the truth, the votes show us the truth and Ron Paul’s Especially when Dr. Paul is nearly neck and neck with Obama and the others are floundering in a national poll that doesn’t associate with any party affiliation. The latest numbers I saw had Obama at 42%, Paul at 41%, 6% other and 11% undecided. Other polls have Dr. Paul receiving an even greater share of the vote, nearly 50%, in a head-to-head match up with Obama.
Look at those figures. Look at all the figures. Look at the delegate count. Look at the momentum and the supporters. Look at the message. Look at the support and the numbers and the money he’s raised and the groups that back him. Look at the facts and the logic and then tell me he’s “unelectable”.
You can’t.
Not with a straight face. It can only be done behind the distortion and the safety of a television screen and that’s exactly where the doubters all sit.
