If PBS is so amazing and so beloved by Americans, than maybe they can all step up and donate money. Or maybe PBS can make money from private advertisements just like the 17,000 other private television networks in the country.
I love PBS and I watch a lot of NOVA, but you can’t force people to pay for something, especially when the country is broke. Time to cut both major and fringe costs. As the graphic says, 94,000,000 people watch PBS which means 216,000,000 people don’t watch PBS but are forced to pay for it.
