Hope For The Future Of Fallible Man

While going on my Rand Paul rant, I pointed out that Rand’s endorsement of Romney is on par to endorsing the behavior and policies that Romney himself endorses (drones, corporate welfare, war, central planning, etc), and that is enough of an issue for me to drop all support for Rand. A friend pointed out the likelihood of Ron Paul endorsing Rand if the junior Paul decided to run for President and how, using my logic, that would equate to the same fallibility and “playing politics” that I accuse and condemn Rand for. He asked me how would I feel about Ron Paul then and if I’d still think he stands strong on his principles.

I think that Ron would endorse his son the same way he backed him when Rand decided to back Romney right in the middle of his dad’s campaign. Ron came out and said that while he doesn’t agree with his son, he supports him as a father and he doesn’t need his permission seeing as he is an adult. But, lets say Ron endorsed Rand with no caveats, then what?

The short answer is that I would lose some respect for Ron, but I wouldn’t be surprised. First of all, he’s a father, second of all, he’s human therefore.

I’d like to thank my friend for confirming my overall belief that all men are fallible, even the most principled of men, and for that we should never grant any man power and authority over another. Not willingly and certainly not by force.

This is why all forms are gov’t are unjust or evolve to be
come unjust, given enough time. And history tells us that “enough time” is about 200 years. I think that the pattern of the rise and fall of rulers corresponds with the pattern of human evolution.

They say that humanity, both genetically and culturally, doesn’t just evolve slowly and consistently over time, but that there are giant leaps of evolution, usually every 100 years.

100 years ago, we moved into the industrial age and a 100 years before that we moved from monarchy to democracy. You can see this pattern continue all the way back through out history as far as we have records.

I think we are at that point. It’s time that we moved on from this idiotic concept of central planning and rule over many by the few. I think it’s time we let people rule themselves and markets and morality dictate the course of events.

Just look at the riots all over the world. Have you ever seen anything like this? Have you ever heard of or read of anything like this in history? A global fight of people vs their governments. The entire world is revolting, disarming and dismissing their so called “leaders”.

I hope I live long enough to see this time. I think only then, when people aren’t oppressed and developments of industry are hand picked, will we finally be capable of unlocking the true potential of humanity.

Until then I’ll keep striving for stronger principles and keep fighting for freedom.
