Anonymous asked: how many people does it take to catch one person? do you think the cops are afraid of him because of his '14 page manifesto'? (in reference to the chris dorner thing that's been on the news for the past thursday in southern california) & what are your thoughts about this?

I have no idea, but according to everything I’ve read, this guy has been in the military for over a decade, a cop for almost 4 years, he’s an expert shooter, expert in tactics and response, and he has a seriously high security clearance.

My first guess is that this guy is seriously armed and seriously capable and obviously very willing to kill, not just the cops he’s looking for, but all cops and even civilians.

Add to that the fact that the LAPD seriously overreacted and shot at innocent civilians. The public, nationally, was very displeased with that and it proved Dorner to be right about the police being very abusive of power and foregoing public safety.

So this hampered the LAPD search efforts a bit because they had to tone it down a little and be very cautious as the public wants them to take action and yet they are very weary of the aggressiveness of their actions.

Another thing to consider is that Dorner might be gone. There is a tiny chance that he killed himself, but I doubt that, given his tone, plan of action and his goals. He doesn’t sound suicidal, he sounds like he’s on a mission.

The other possibility is that he died, which is likely, given where he ditched his car and the weather conditions this week. Or it could have been a decoy to burn the car in Big Bear and that brings us to the third and, in my opinion, the most likely scenario; Dorner has left the state and most likely the country.

He wrote two different 10+ page Manifestos, which tells me that he’s planned this out all the way through, especially when you consider his military and tactical background.

Anyway, I hope they catch him, because I’m not really a fan of murder. I also hope that the cops don’t kill him and he comes in alive and gets to spill the beans on just how corrupt and disgusting the entire LAPD mafia is.

I doubt they bring him in alive, however. There’s just too much dirt on the LAPD and he seems willing to talk and the cops seem willing to kill-on-sight.
