BioShock Infinite did something amazing for me. I’ve never played the game, in fact I had never even heard of it, really, but then I saw the amazing commercial for Bioshock Infinite.

So I saw the commercial and I loved the song I heard and I set out to find it on youtube and this is what I found: Nico Vega’s Beast

The song sounds great and the tune is catchy and then you listen to the lyrics and it hits you, this is the most libertarian/anarchist song I’ve heard on television.

Check the lyrics:

Stand tall for the beast of America.
Lay down like a naked dead body,
keep it real for the people workin’ overtime,
they can’t stay living off the governments dime.

Stand tall for the people of America.
Stand tall for the man next door,
we are free in the land of America,
we aint goin’ down like this. Come on Now!

Come on People,
WHAT!

Come on people
Come on people
Come on people

HAH!

Come on people
Come on people
Come on people

HAH!

I will be right to you,
I will be right to you,
I will be right to you, and together we can stand up to the beast.
You see…Suppression is a m*thxr f*cken prison
And i hand you the key to your cell,
You’ve got to love you neighbor, love your neighbor.
And let your neighbor, love you back.

Stand tall for the beast of America.
Lay down like a naked dead body,
keep it real for the people workin’ overtime,
they can’t stay living off the governments dime.

Stand tall for the people of America.
Stand tall for the man next door,
Cause we are free in the land of America,
we aint goin’ down like this. Come on now!

Enjoy the tunes, y’all.

NPR: Planet Money - Episode 439: The Mysterious Power Of A Hospital Bill

If you have good health insurance, you’ve probably never even seen a full hospital bill. Count yourself lucky.

For a giant article in this week’s Time, Steve Brill went line by line through a handful of bills from hospitals around the country. On today’s show, he tells us about the crazy thicket of high prices and hard-to-decipher codes that he discovered, and we talk about what it means for the price of health care in America.

This was a great episode of Planet Money where they talk about what is driving up the cost of health care (insurance!) and how we can win the battle against rising administrative costs.

In July, 2009, Professor Hans-Hermann Hoppe delivered a speech at the Mises University titled “Economics of Risk and Insurance: From Healthcare to Welfare”.

Very good lecture on Insurance, regardless of how you feel about ObamaCare.
