The worst thing that our corrupt government has done is hand over undeserved credibility to Alex Jones.
The more you think about it, the scarier this quote from Obama gets.
- Indefinite detention
- Suspension of Habeas Corpus
- Warrantless DNA seizure by cops
- Warrentless search and monitoring by FBI and DHS
- NSA collecting phone records on every single person
- AUMF granted by the PATRIOT Act
- Secret Presidential Kill Lists
- Assassination of US Citizens by Drones
- Government Whistle-blowers are prosecuted for treason
- IRS targeting citizens for political beliefs
- DOJ secretly spying on journalists
- Government funding enemy “terror” groups with our tax dollars
- Militarization of local police force
- TSA, ICE and DHS conducting illegal search and seizures
- Federal and state governments trying to control and even seize guns
- Federal and local governments limiting free speech
And that’s just what’s been exposed.
I am of the opinion that 100 years from now, if we are still free to study history, we will look back at Obama’s two terms and this quote will be the most profound, most studied quote and most ironic quote of his presidency.
With all the things that were going on at the time, most of it being reported in the news and talked about on the internet, for Obama to go up and make such a statement in public is very disturbing. His administration would later admit that most of these scandals where real yet they’ve also claimed to have no knowledge of them until the media exposed it.
To attribute Obama’s words and timing to simple coincidence would be near impossible at this point, given what we know.
CISPA, SOPA, AUMF, PATRIOT Act, PATRIOT Act 2, NDAA 2012, Executive orders to seize land, resources, communications, Executive Orders to assassinate US citizens, suspension of habeas corpus, drones in our skies, TSA, DHS, ICE, NSA, FBI, CIA, military tanks and personal armor used by local police, gun control legislation, Dept of HOMELAND Security buying billions of rounds of ammo, thousands of tanks, military grade guns, gov’t is out of control with increased taxation, decreased income, 17 trillion in debt, growing by billions a day, starting more wars without ending the priors, fighting an imaginary enemy that we started and funded and continue to fund today. Media outlets are being censored and paid off by gov’t officials, whistle-blowers of gov’t and corporate corruption are being jailed for treason.
Yea, nothing sinister going on at all. Love your government. Ignore the naysayers. There is no tyranny. We are all free. WAR IS PEACE, FREEDOM IS SLAVERY, IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH.
Whether or not you agree with what Bradley Manning did, the fact that he’s been in jail for over 1000 days should give you pause when talking about what the government would and wouldn’t do to its citizens.
The cherry on top is that he spent 10 months in solitary confinement, and multiple US and UN officials have said that his treatment during that time was inhumane.
Here’s the sad part about all of this; Manning is a member of the military and they have their own courts and sometimes their own laws and processes.
Here’s the impossibly disgusting part about that; Obama and Congress have declared all of America a battleground, meaning that maritime law, the same laws that apply to Manning, can, in theory, be applied to all of us.
Regardless of how you feel about Manning and his actions, you should be absolutely terrified of the actions of the government.
Welcome to unconstitutional hell.
Rand Paul: How to Lose Friends & Alienate People
This is the side of Rand Paul that I actually like.
Hypocrisy & Double-Standards: National Defense vs Self Defense
President Obama, a man surrounded by a dozen fully armed and trained Secret Service agents at any given time, which costs this nation $1.6 billion a year, thinks that you have nothing to fear and have no need for protection via the ownership of a gun.
This is the hypocrisy of politicians and the state itself. The very same men and women in government that want to increase your taxes in order to pay for a national defense budget, which they refuse to cut, want you to believe that you have nothing to fear.
These are the same individuals that want to spy on all Americans due to a “constant threat to our lives by terrorists” want you to disarm because “you have nothing to fear”. The same folks that have declared a “war on terror” and have declared the United States of America an “active warzone” are also telling you that “you have no need for guns”.
These are the same individuals that justify the TSA and the NSA and the DHS and the CIA and the FBI all because “we have nothing to fear”. These are the same people that think the constant threat to and from Americans is so high that we have a need for indefinite detention, secret kill lists and spy drones, yet “we have nothing to fear”.
But that’s the hypocrisy of the state and how they deal with things. Their goal isn’t to create actual safety or prosperity their goal is to create the illusion of such for just long enough to get them elected and reelected. They are no different than a treatment as opposed to a cure. If government actually solved anything, they’d soon find themselves out of a job.
We have a government that’s been hell bent on fear propaganda since September 11th, 2001 and is constantly pushing the idea that some boogie men in caves halfway around the world want to and will kill each and every one of us without an active army or the means to actually reach us. This is the same government that takes, without asking, our rights, freedoms and tax dollars along with leveraging the wealth of future generations on endless wars and complete surveillance yet they want us to think “we have nothing to fear”.
If our government can spend so much money and time and effort on arming themselves for their protection, both in the states and abroad, then why can’t the people take such prudent measures?
Clearly our government thinks there is something to fear. Why else do we ramp up military spending, arm our local police with mil-spec weapons and vehicles. Why else do politicians require 24/7 armed security and the need to disperse crowds when they travel? Why do we need to collect data on all individuals, including innocent citizens? Clearly there are constant threats to Americans on all fronts, right? It’s either that or this has all been a rather drawn out and dangerous ruse to confiscate our precious tax dollars and to eliminate our pesky civil rights.
So I ask, which is it? Are people really trying to kill us every second of the day or do we really have nothing to fear? And if we do have something to fear, the track record of complete incompetence (Pearl Harbor, Oklahoma City, WTC, USS Cole, 9/11, Benghazi) of our government is a pretty convincing argument that the people should probably have a Plan B regardless of the legitimacy of the threat.
