To force the Obama administration to cut spending, some House Republicans have advocated allowing the US to fall into default or shut down the government. By running out of money, the US would be unable to pay its bills as early as mid-February.
YES THE GOP HAS FINALLY DONE SOMETHING AWESOME.
You guys don’t understand this could be the best birthday present ever.

The Icelandic (Peaceful) Revolution; coming to a broken government near you!
“By calling attention to ‘a well regulated militia’, the ’security’ of the nation, and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms’, our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny which gave rise to the Second Amendment will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason, I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.”
John F. Kennedy, April 1960JFK was pro-guns, cut taxes, tried to restore sound money and wanted to tell the public about the Federal Reserve. There is no way he’d even be nominated as a candidate let alone win the Presidency in 2012.
We’ve completely lost our way. Our moral compass is broken and our common sense and logic have been replaced by brand recognition and gov’t mandates. The media has become pure propaganda, schools no longer teach, votes no longer count and leaders are not the ones leading us anymore. Our money went from gold to paper and is now turning digital. It’s not even tangible anymore. We don’t even eat real food anymore.
Where are we? How did we get here and how do we get home? Are we stranded without a paddle or did we simply get complacent and stop paddling.
Did we stop and stare at the beautiful sunset for so long that the light of day disappeared and we were left in the dark? Can we rescue ourselves or is it too late?
I fear the latter but have hope for the prior. All I can do is pick up my own oar and row, but alone, I’ll only go in circles. Without others jumping in, i’ll grow tired or insane. This isn’t a task for one man but a journey for all men.
I wrote this a little while back, but it’s perfect for current events.
This BBC documentary reveals and analyzes the fact that al-Qaeda does not exist.
There is no such thing as “al Qaeda”, there is no one on earth who calls himself a member of “al Qaeda”. “al Qaeda” is a term made up by the U.S. government to be applied to anyone killed during in the occupation of Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no formal organization. There is no secret terrorist network.I remember reading a few years ago that al-Qaeda was in fact an invisible bogeyman fabricated by the U.S., but could never find much about it, so I disregarded it as conspiracy hearsay. A recent documentary special aired in the UK via the BBC goes into depth about it, however. This ten-minute video focuses on the parts regarding the truth behind al-Qaeda. It’s very important, so please watch it and please reblog it.
This documentary, which has aired globally and has even been screened at the Cannes Film Festival, has yet to air in the United States, of course. Writer/producer Adam Curtis had this to say in 2008:
“Something extraordinary has happened to American TV since September 11. A head of the leading networks who had better remain nameless said to me that there was no way they could show it. He said, ‘Who are you to say this?’ and then he added, ‘We would get slaughtered if we put this out.’ When I was in New York I took a DVD to the head of documentaries at HBO. I still haven’t heard from him.”For more information about the documentary, read here. For more information on Jamal al-Fadl, the man who was paid to invent al-Qaeda, read here.
This is a clip from BBC’s The Power of Nightmares: The Rise of The Politics of Fear
I think this 3-part series is the most important documentary of our time. It’s a must watch.
The series dissects how the liberal movement failed America and then gave way to the Chicago Neo-Cons to create a fear-based political regime in America while at the same time, a handful of extremists changed the face of Islam through the same fear-based extremism in the Middle East.
Here’s a link to all three parts:
PART I - Baby It’s Cold Outside
PART III - The Shadows In The Cave
I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again, if you want to comment on American and/or foreign politics and you haven’t watched this series, you’re missing out.

In the House, they have to because the Democrats don’t have the majority. In the Senate, I’m happy not to filibuster it, and I will announce tonight on your show that I will work with Harry Reid to let him pass his big old tax hike with a simple majority if that’s what Harry Reid wants, because then they will become the party of high taxes and they can own it. —

Rand, he’s up and down for me. Still, I guess better him than any number of potential republican senators.

I don’t think positively of this “method”. Sit back and let them ruin it?

SS: I don’t care about ‘playing politics’ but I’m always down with the ‘let it fucking burn’ option, here’s why:
Americans just don’t understand how fucked we are in regards to fiscal and monetary policies. They think that one side or the other has the perfect plan and that the opposite side is fucking things up. In reality, they are all fucking things up but you can’t convince them of that right now. You can only do that with a clean slate and a clean slate doesn’t come unless there is so kind of financial chaos. That’s the mother of all change.
So if you truly want real economic change to come to America, you shouldn’t fear the impeding chaos. Heck, I wouldn’t be surprised if Obama and his yes-men aren’t banking on the chaos to push their own type of change. These guys keep upping the ante on the GOP as if they don’t actually want a deal.
Obama had requested $800 billion in revenues a few months ago and the GOP sucked it up and showed up with that exact figure. Obama and his trolls went ahead and shot that down and doubled-down on their request, now asking for tax hikes on the top 2% as opposed to the top 1% and asking for a total of $1.6 TRILLION, twice what Obama requested just a few months ago.
Obama is routing for chaos and I’m on board. It’s going to take chaos to motivate the American public to wake the fuck up and fix this mess because we all know there’s no real change that’s going to come from Washington.
Oh, by the way, none of this made-up Taxmageddon bullshit is even real. We can just let the tax cuts continue, freeze the spending increases and boom, everything is fine. But both sides, especially the Dems, wanted this mess to come to a head so they can leverage it to vilify the, now, 2% and get all of the 98%, including Republicans who oppose tax increases, to turn on their own principles and choose their own financial stability over their ideology.
Obama and his team are a lot of brilliant politicians. These guys have mastered the game better than anyone I’ve ever seen hold public office. They know exactly how to spin things, how to divide factions and how to get what they want without actually asking for it.
Obama is in it for the chaos. If he wasn’t he’d just extend the tax cuts and hold the spending increases.
The real issues are the unfunded liabilities and what we’re going to do when we actually run out of ways to pay the notes that we’ve already promised and we’re left with two options: default or inflate.
So yes, I’m all in on the ‘let it fucking burn’ option because there is no other option left.

“The American people will never knowingly adopt Socialism. But under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist program, until one day America will be a Socialist nation, without knowing how it happened.” - Norman Thomas (1884-1968) six-time U.S. Presidential candidate for the Socialist Party of America
We all knew this day was coming. The day that people realize that they’ve been openly supporting the ideals of Socialism without the actual title of it and at that point, they’d have a decision to make; either admit their mistakes and correct them or to embrace Socialism and move America into a new direction. It looks like the people have chosen.
Now I’m hoping for a zombie apocalypse to go down so that the undead Founding Fathers can rise from their graves and tear us all apart.

Democrats: “Let’s Ban Profits!”
Posing undercover as an anti-business activist at the DNC, Peter Schiff convinces a number of Democrats to come out in favor of a hypothetical proposed law explicitly banning profitability.

Difference Between Streamlining the Military and Isolationism - Ron Paul’s Foreign and Military Policy And why it scares politicians.
The GOP is having a heart attack about military cutbacks because the military industrial complex with lose a ton of federal funding, or to put it in simpler terms, they will no longer be able to steal billions and billions in mismanaged funds.
The only reason the Left is having a heart attack about Ron Paul’s foreign policy is because they would rather ship billions of dollars to foreign nations that don’t give 1 single hoot about us rather than help reconstruct our own country.
These corporations are no different than these foreign nations, the safety and well being of the USofA is only a concern up to the point that we sign and mail their next check. Past that, they don’t care about us.
Like Ron Paul says, the military shouldn’t be used to build other nations, it should be used to defend our own. There’s no need to send billions of our own tax dollars overseas as foreign aid when we can certainly use aid of our own within our own boarders.
Next time a politician is against budget cuts, just think a little deeper and explore who funds the campaigns of these politicians. Foriegn governments and US corporations fund election campaigns and pump funds directly into SPACs to get “their guy” into office and in turn “their guy” drafts policies that shovel billions of tax dollars back towards those entities. The chicken and the egg enter a never ending cycle of pocket lining. Once you realize this, you’ll realize that for many Congressmen, a military budget cut is no different than a campaign budget cut.
