My tools.
I love how this is organized. Also, I think I’m starting a new wood-working project this weekend.

Project: Butcher Block Island
A few days ago I posted up pictures of the vanity I made for my new guest bath and I said I’d put up pics of the kitchen island later, so here it is.
This project took about 3 full work days to complete and cost around $275 with everything, including the butcher block (which was purchased at wholesale). Without the discount, you can probably pull this off for about $350 to $400 or less, depending on the quality of the top.
We opted for a top quality piece but just short of a Boos block. Boos blocks are beautiful but can cost an arm and a leg. We knew we’d be moving out of the loft and into a house sooner rather than later and we’d be selling this piece so it wasn’t worth the price difference to us.
Speaking of which, we moved out of the loft and into a house and this piece is now for sale. (LINK)
WHY THE FUCK HASN’T THIS HAPPENED YET??? This is possibly the best executed rebrand I have ever seen and I am simply awestruck by it. I can hardly contain myself!! It is designed by Matt Chase and you can find his description of the US Postal Service rebrand here.
This hasn’t happened yet because the USPS needs the gov’t to hand it $5 billion dollars a year JUST TO BREAK EVEN. They don’t even have enough money to paint their walls or fix the busted up tables inside.
Do you really think they can afford to rebrand and buy all new uniforms and logos for 500,000+ workers, 200,000+ vehicles, and 30,000+ offices?
But, yes, that’s one sweet ass design that someone came up with.
