Well, seeing as how the definition of “reality” is something along the lines of “what is actual and real” I would say that perception does not equal reality.  It’s more of a personal, pseudo-reality. Can anything be seen as reality then? As humans, we can’t see everything… we have an imperfect perception, so what we call reality can’t possibly be “reality,” right?

Having lost a third of my hearing in both ears to ear infections when I was little (thank you, incompetent quack pediatricians), I’m pretty well convinced that perception ≠ reality.
